Low Code platforms for Education
On the list of Sustainable Development Goals as outlined by the United Nations, access to Quality Education is the fourth goal of the initiative. “Education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is a key to escaping poverty”. As global poverty elimination is the primary goal of the SDG initiative education is the most efficient means to this end. With nearly half of all children and adolescents below minimum proficiency standards in reading and mathematics this poses a massive barrier to achieving the SDG’s.
As the Covid-19 pandemic spread throughout the globe, temporary school closure impacted nearly 91% of global students and by April 2020 approximately 1.6Billion children were out of school. According to Unicef “Almost all countries implemented digital and broadcast remote learning policies, but only 60 per cent did so for pre-primary education” Digital instruction was the most used approach for remote learning as illustrated in the graph below.
